The KPGA KEB Hana Bank Invitational is an international tournament that is participated in by athletes from China, Japan, and Korea. The event originally began as the ¡°China-Korea Tour: Korea Exchange Bank Invitational,¡± but a Japan tour was added in 2018, turning the invitational into a tri-national event. The tournament is recognized as the cornerstone for the advancement of East Asian golf.
The 2019 invitational featured Sanghyun Park, the tournament¡¯s first champion, along with other Korean star golfers, including Jinho Choi, Hyungsung Kim, Hyungjoon Lee, and Galam Jeon. In addition to Chinese, Japanese, and Korean athletes, the tournament welcomed 144 athletes from nine other countries, including the PGA Tour¡¯s Charlie Wi and the European Tour¡¯s Scott Hend.
